Chaperones NeededSeveral of you have already received this letter - but for those who have not...Thank you all for volunteering to be chaperones. Sept and October are the ABSOLUTE busiest months for the band - with 1 or more events/week and we need chaperones for these events. First and most important is to get your badge made. ROTC has the list. If you can do it this Saturday between 9 and noon - that's great...otherwise just go before school. Last year's badges are not acceptable. They are a different color too - not ......yellow. I have attached the guidelines for the chaperones. This will give the new volunteers an idea of what to expect. It sounds complicated - but it really is easy - especially when you have the veterans on the team - which are absolutely fabulous! (Thanks for volunteering year after year!) I need volunteers for the following games/contest dates. We REALLY NEED CHAPERONES FOR THE FIRST GAME! We currently only have 6. You can request a bus if you would like - but I have no idea how Mr. Duff will do it. If you want to ride with your child or with the percussion - if they can tell you what bus that is - I'll assign you to that bus. The first event - I don't have the bus list. After the band enrollment stabilizes - it will be easy. For the games - you will need to arrive about 3:30-4pm to help get coolers, ice, snacks, plumes, phone numbers, etc. You should be home by 11:30ish. For contests - I currently have no times - just note that it is an all day affair (usually 13+ hours) and we really do need and appreciate your help. Aug. 29th - game Oct. 2nd- THURS - game Nov.7-8 percussion convention?????I have no additional information on this We need 6-8 volunteers for the loading crew and 8-10 as chaperones. Please let me know your preference. If you are working with the loading crew - indicate if you wish to be a driver (we need two for the U-Hauls). Thanks again for your support!
