FAQ

Q: How much does this cost?

A: Only $20. Some doctors offices are charging extra fees now to fill out paperwork so this is a good deal.

Q: Do I need an appointment?

A: No. We have four doctors who are volunteering their time to do the exams and it usually goes quickly. However, we never know how many kids will show up so please bring $20, the two signed forms. . .and your patience.

Q: Where do I enter the school?

A: Use the band hall entrance, which is in the southwest corner of the school. Park in the teacher's parking lot at the corner of Berry and McCart; walk through the metal-fenced area on the northeast corner of the lot; and enter through the four doors.

Q: Is this just for band kids? Only for football players? And what about my middle schooler?

A: The physicals are for ANY student who needs a UIL medical form to participate in marching band, football, cheerleading, track...all sports! And you don't have to attend Paschal to come and get a physical. Middle school athletes have to have these forms, too.

Q: Do I have to be a student in the Fort Worth ISD?

A: Any student that needs a physical for UIL competition may come--even if you're from Crowley or Burleson or wherever in Texas. Form 1 that you download above is the official Texas UIL form used for physical exams statewide.

Q: Do you give shots?

A: No. This is the sports exam for UIL participation. If your child also needs back-to-school shots, see your regular family doctor, a clinic or one of these public health events.

Q: Are these real doctors?

A: Absolutely! All are MDs or DOs and a couple are pediatricians. Two are men, two are women; plus they are being assisted by real nurses. In addition, all of them are great parents of band kids and they are donating their valuable time to help students.
